How we compare
Most wedding platforms will tell you they take 0% of your cash gifts, and several of them are telling the truth. The differences that actually decide it are who can be paid at all, what your guests are charged at checkout, and whether anyone holds your money on the way through.
Our Big Yes vs Zola
Neither platform takes a cut of your cash gifts. Zola transfers only to a United States checking account, and guests cover a 2.5% card fee by default.
Zola is the better pick for: A US couple, banking in the US, who would rather spend nothing on the website.

The Knot takes 0% too. It needs a US checking account, works in USD only, and guest cards must be issued by banks based in the USA.
The Knot is the better pick for: A US couple whose guests are happy paying by Venmo, which costs nobody anything.

Joy is free and takes no cut, which is true. The Joy Wallet is for US residents only, guests pay 3.5% on card gifts, and each transfer out costs $1.70.
Joy is the better pick for: A couple in a supported country whose guests will use Venmo, PayPal or Cash App.

Honeyfund charges couples no platform fee and guests no fee. Contributions sit in a Honeyfund Wallet, and redeeming to a bank account costs 3.5% plus $0.59.
Honeyfund is the better pick for: A couple who would rather take gift cards or a prepaid card, both published at 0%.

Competitor pricing as published on their own sites, checked 2 August 2026. Where a platform does not publish a figure publicly, we say so rather than estimating. Your payment gateway still charges its standard processing fee on each gift; that is between you and your gateway, we take nothing.
How we check these
Every figure on these pages was read from the other company's own pricing, fees or help pages, not from a review site or a roundup, and each page says when it was checked. The figures here were checked on 2 August 2026. Where a platform does not publish a number, we say so rather than estimating one.
Prices change. If you spot something out of date, email [email protected] and we will recheck it.
